Tesco will be offering a free fruit stall at the Finish Line Party in Kennedy Park this year. We are asking participants to dispose of their leftover fruit in the special food waste bins provided. This waste will be composted after the event.

Water

We are asking all participants and spectators to dispose of all plastic bottles responsibly using the Recycling Bins provided. We are also encouraging participants to bring along their own reusable water bottles from home.

Recycling & Waste
Management

Responsibly dispose of any waste into the segregated bins for Recycling (plastic, paper, cardboard), Food (for composting) & General Waste, ensuring that there is no cross-contamination of waste.

Reducing
Plastic

We have eliminated the plastic wrapping on individual medals and are favouring reusable bunting to add to the festive atmosphere on the day.

Reusable
Tote Bags

We have moved away from pre-packed goody bags in favour of reusable cotton tote bags. Sponsorship by Tesco and The Echo of the bags.

Leave No
Trace

Professional cleaning services will assist with the post-race clean-up, and we are increasing the number of bins available this year.

Reusable
Branding

All branding material, banners and other signage will be collected after the event and will be reused in the future.
